Teacher Advisory Council Purpose

The LLN Teacher Advisory Council exists to elevate the voices, ideas, and innovations of our teachers, who are the heart of our schools. Together, we connect classroom experience to organizational vision, ensuring that teacher perspectives actively shape the direction and priorities of the Luminary Learning Network.

In a landscape that is constantly evolving, the TAC serves as a creative and collaborative force, identifying what educators need most and co-designing solutions that make learning more engaging, equitable, and impactful.

Beyond amplifying teacher voices, the TAC also plays a key role in holding the network accountable to its community, ensuring our actions reflect our values and that our schools remain places where both students and educators can thrive.

Composition

  • Each school will have at least 1, but no more than 3 representatives.

  • Each school will design their own process for qualifying and selecting members for the teacher council. It is strongly encouraged that staff members at each school have the majority say in the selection of their representatives.

Responsibilities

For the 2025-2026 school year, the TAC will be responsible for:

  • Self-guided Teacher Professional Development Planning: educators in the LLN will have differentiated opportunities for and support with professional development. Educators will have the ability to connect with their peers across the LLN community.

  • Innovation awareness: the TAC will create communications to help build awareness of the LLN, the TAC, and the successes of LLN member schools
